Having sourced and designed handmade contemporary jewellery and accessories for over 20 years, we have formed endearing relationships with incredibly skilled and reliable crafters and suppliers, who work closely with us to bring out timeless design in our quality products.
Chandra Jewellery, established in Johannesburg in 1999 by Candace Smith, has over the years developed into a strong wholesale hand-crafted jewellery and accessory brand. More recently, we have branched into home-based local design and production, with our unique South African contemporary jewellery brand, HOLOLO.
We have a long-standing and loyal customer base, and supply a number of eclectic boutiques and gift shops and beautiful parks and bush lodges throughout southern Africa, and occasionally further afield. Our studio /show-room is located in the Cradle of Humankind, a hop away from Lanseria airport on the fringe of Johannesburg. Visits are welcomed by appointment. We are regular exhibitors at trade fairs, where we love to meet our customers.
Chandra Jewellery supports and promotes a sustainable ethical handcrafted jewellery industry in South Africa and abroad – where exceptional skills in jewellery making have been passed down for generations – In many instances this is a traditional income generator in poor peri-urban and rural communities.
The reuse and recycling of waste is part and parcel of everyday life. At Chandra Jewellery we strive to be a zero-landfill business, and are committed to doing our bit to implement positive environmental change.
